  We are very happy with the new gas furnace that Hectec installed for us. Our house has been renovated/chopped up/put back together a number of times over its 103 years, which has resulted in a very “inspired” electrical system, as well as a number of heating issues during the cold winter months. Lance was careful to take all of this into consideration when recommending the appropriate unit. I was especially impressed with his subject knowledge and with his thoughtful/complete answers to my many questions. The other companies I considered before contacting Hectec were not interested at all in the issues unique to our old house but were very interested in pushing the units that they said “might be” subject to government rebates. I found the prices they quoted to be inflated by at least the amount of these “potential” rebates and none of them came close to the level of service, knowledge, and professionalism that we got from Hectec. I would recommend them with no hesitation.

  TLDR: Excellent service and great heat pumps at a fair mid-range price. Highly recommended! Hectech installed heat pumps for air conditioning in our house in Vancouver in 2022. (We set up the job through ***** ****** ********* ********* the two companies work together for heat pumps.) Winston and Lance at Hectech did an outstanding job from start to finish. We had about six companies come to give estimates, and Hectech was the only company that gave thoughtful, complete answers to every one of our follow-up questions. It was clear that they were carefully developing their recommendations based on what they thought would work best for our personal situation; for example, they designed a setup that would work within our existing household amperage, which helped us avoid a $10K electrical upgrade. Hectech wasn’t the cheapest option (the cheapest company was pretty shady and didn’t inspire confidence), but their quote was very reasonable compared with other companies, and the final bill stuck exactly to the quote. The job had some delays due to pandemic supply chain issues, but that wasn’t anyone’s fault and made no difference in the end. Hectech was also completely respectful of our Covid safety preferences. Now Vancouver is having more heat waves, and we are super comfortable with great air conditioning. Fantastic! (I notice that the Hectech website link seems to be outdated or broken at the moment. Don’t worry about that – they’re legit and fully active as of 2022. ** ****** ***** ****** ********* ******** ** *** ** *** ******)
