    my regular mechanic diagnosed my transmission issue as internal but didn't have the time to fix it. I took it toA&*************** in *******************. they had a minimum $169.43 inspection fee. It was a simple fix insofar as they did not have to remove anything but the fluid pan. the parts were $63.31 and they charged me an additional $306.67 labour! MY billwas $657.46! this was Tuesday, February 27, 2024 truthfully hosed, *********************

    Mr. ***** had an appointment booked for February 27, 2024 to inspect and report on his vehicle not going into park. Mr. ***** approved the diagnostic fee upon check in. When we first went out to the vehicle it would go in and out of every gear and would also go into and hold in park. At this time we performed an in service bay inspection to ensure the shift linkage and other external components were not the fault of the concern. We parked the vehicle outside in park and went back out to the vehicle after an hour and the vehicle was locked in park. We further inspected external components on the vehicle in the parking lot. We had to rock the vehicle back and forth to get the vehicle out of park. Once the vehicle was back in the shop we recommended lowering the transmission pan for further inspection. Mr. ***** was in the waiting room and approved lowering the pan for further inspection. Once the pan was lowered we found slight wear on the input shaft and found that the park rod was worn. We then estimated the cost of the park rod replacement. We brought the estimate to Mr. ***** and also brought him out to view what we had found. Mr. ***** approved the estimate for repair. From start to finish the customer paid under three hours of labor to source and repair a transmission concern on a 34 year old vehicle. Mr. ***** expressed no concerns throughout the repair or billing out process.
