I hired Kroek Contracting for a full 9-month renovation on my home as a friend had just worked with him and she had rave reviews. The reno was extensive! The work Tyler and his team completed was absolutely stunning. From day one the whole crew was professional, clean, and organized. They always showed up to the house, ready to start the day. Tyler kept me informed of the project often and took time to hear any concerns I had. When they left at the end of the day, they always took time to leave the home as livable as possible. Tyler is a highly skilled carpenter and business owner. I found the more I let him do his thing and leave creative decisions up to him the happier I was. I had a vision, but he brought it to life. Highly recommend Kroek Contracting.

Unprofessional. Kept me hanging for 9 months and did not commit to project. Will blame customer rather than set up proper contract. Basic carpentry skills but not a professional contractor. Avoid.

This was a challenging project to make a "contract" for. With not a 100% plan from the customer, there was no real way to quote the job. She stated that I could decide "what I wanted to do" in each project area. At the time that I initially met with her, I had another carpenter working with me. Which made it easy for me to take on several projects at a time, also leave jobs for meetings with customers. when I got closer to starting her job, he took another job, leaving me to take on my workload alone. So now it would take me longer to get through the jobs I had committed to. Responding to her claim of me blaming her. The first project that we decided to start with was her front door. She hired another company to install the door without informing me. Once she was given the final cost to install the door, she decided not to go with them and said it was mine to install. That did not sit well with me. She was also meeting with other contractors to replace me. I explained to her that I would prefer to not take her job on, since I could not be fully focused on her project due to other deadlines I had to meet on other projects, than take it on and end up letting her down due to not being fully available. I prefer to be 100% focused on jobs of that size. In the past I have said yes to too much work and ended up with unhappy customers, I explained that I won't make that mistake again. It was unfortunate that I could not take on her job, but I would rather have a customer upset that I chose not too, than upset that I did and was not fully focused on them. Anyone looking to hire me is welcome to speak to any of my previous or current customers, they will have to complete opposite to say from her. My work speaks for itself and I take pride in everything I do.
