After renewing my lease, I experienced ****** ********** from a neighbor—screaming, banging on walls, following me in hallways, and leaving aggressive notes. Despite reporting this to my landlord, Janess, multiple times and requesting to relocate within the same housing complex, my requests were repeatedly denied. I later discovered that apartments were listed as available while I was still asking to move, yet I was told they were ‘not actually available.’ After six months of this unbearable situation, my husband and I decided to terminate the lease early. I moved out 15 days before the end of the month. Although my lease stated the only penalty would be losing my damage deposit, I was also charged an additional month’s rent for ‘improper notice.’ On top of that, I was charged an unreasonable $420 cleaning fee for my small studio apartment, claiming it required 15 hours of cleaning—an excessive and unjustified amount. Despite returning all keys in perfect condition, my key deposit was also not refunded. Throughout this process, my safety concerns were ignored, and the management’s lack of transparency and compassion was extremely disappointing. I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values fair treatment and a safe living environment. Think twice before renting from them—they will not support you.

  I had an extremely negative experience with Hearthstone property management. Their unprofessional conduct and questionable business practices have left me deeply dissatisfied.First, the rental properties they manage are old and poorly maintained, yet they charge premium rates that are not justified by the quality or condition of the units. Despite the high rent, basic maintenance and repairs were often neglected or delayed.When moving out, they attempted to charge me for pre-existing damages that were clearly documented in my move-in inspection. This feels like a deceptive attempt to unfairly keep my security deposit.The most egregious issue occurred when I left an honest but negative review on ****** describing my experiences. In what appears to be retaliation, they denied my lease renewal application. This action feels vindictive and potentially unlawful.Overall, I cannot recommend this company. Their overpricing, attempts to overcharge for damages, and apparent retaliation for negative feedback demonstrate a lack of integrity and professionalism. Prospective tenants should be very cautious when considering any properties managed by this company.

  They are very deceitful, get you to fill out an application send in security deposit and then change pet policy after application was sent in. Only property company who charges a security deposit upfront. DO NOT RENT FROM OR EVEN CONSIDER.
