  Increased my insurance premiums without notifying on renewal then told me a cancellation fee I should not have had to pay in the first place then more than doubled it on cancellation

  They incorrectly provided an insurer with the wrong expiry date on my credit card by their own admission. This caused the payment to be declined resulting in me having to pay the full premium upfront instead of spread over a year. Then they decided to not continue as an agent with that company and tried to switch me to a different auto insurer with a 110% rise in premium. When I was slightly angry over the phone because of this, their response was "go deal with someone else" and hung up. Worst brokerage I ever had. Use someone who cares.

  We have reviewed the complaint and listened to the calls and this complaint is not warranted at all. We had to switch insurance providers as the carrier they were with was not one we could renew them with. The pricing increase etc is not something we can control as the rates are set by the carriers. As we were trying to help the customer was inappropriate with our staff and used foul language which is when the call was ended, as we have 0 tolerance for abuse to our staff.

  Misguiding/dishonest broker I financed a car that was 2 years old. I called and asked Surex to change my insurance and add opcf *********************** case of total loss. They advised me that opfc 43 is only for new vehicles but they can give me opcf 23A as it will give me the same protection! Less than a year later a transport truck rear ends me. I am not at fault and Surex is now telling me that they do not know how opcf 23A protects me. They will not provide me answers and are telling me to deal directly with the insurance adjuster. Apparently 23A only protects the finance company and is an optional add-on. My finance company did not require this. I have been paying extra monthly for something that I did not even require and does not benefit me!Surex employees should know better rather than misguiding their clients! I want answers! All phone calls are recorded so this should not be difficult for them to review!

  Refused cancellation , horrible business practice. Ive been asking for a cancellation since the day of my renewal but they were closed so the following day they said they were going to charge me $700 I asked for the break down and why it was this amount if it was short rate or pro rata I asked for their cancellation policy 5 different times and not once have they provided it and still havent given me a date for my insurance to be cancelled. Absolutely awful dont ever use this company ** ******

  Absolutely terrible insurance broker company. They invite you in promising "lowest rates" but beware; you can check in any time you like, but you can never leave.My broker was the most spiteful, vindictive little man that I've ever had to deal with. Even just to cancel the policy required 2 days of back and forth emails because the broker wanted the cancellation form filled out just right or else he was going to renew my insurance against my wishes and proceed ** ***** from my bank account. And that doesn't even cover the reason I wanted to cancel in the first place.Who does that to people?
