      Stay away from this company! They will *** all your money! I rent this basement in ******** for 7 mos, the oven was really dirty, some of the lights are busted and too cold to stay! First they charged me $115.00 for departure fees then when I finally left , they charge me additional $360.00 for cleaning fees! How come they charge me this when they not even cleaned the oven on the 1st place? They said they will not charge me cleaning the oven this time since it was dirty in the beginning. So how much will be the cleaning of the oven $500!?My deposit that they promised to refund me within 10 days is still pending, it is almost a month now. I havent got it yet,This company will make sure they will get all your money/your deposit. I even vacuumed and cleaned the area before I left. I made an effort. There is very minimal cleaning for them left but to charge me $360.00 is ridiculous!! I should read the previous reviews to this company first before trusting them! To anyone reading this, dont ever trust this company, thank me later. Save your to other company that is fair and worthy.

      My first interaction with Renter’s Choice was very impersonal; me asking a question, and their realtor, Ted *******, ignoring it for DAYS, before ultimately answering it with the exact same four words “Go to the website.” When I finally filled out an application online, they went from ignoring me to mercilessly spamming my E-mail every 20 minutes with more listings that didn’t even meet my desired criteria. I found Ted abrasive, and extremely insensitive to my needs ** * *********************** ********** **** *********** ********** ************. Ted had advertised a “2 BR/1 BATH” with photos of a gorgeous yard, then their showing agent, Wayne, bait-and-switched me when I arrived, telling me the yard was “only to be used by the basement tenants” in spite of photos of the yard clearly being visible in Ted’s ad. Their application clerk Kelsi (not to be out done by the friendly and honest nature of her colleagues??) asked me for a plethora information including but not limited to my bank account log in information and password. Because of how terrible the housing crisis in Lethbridge currently is and how much of a monopoly they currently have on the listings, I gave them it. But SOMEHOW, I (34, female, non-smoker, non-drinker, perfect 720 credit rating, not so much as a parking ticket to my name, glowing references from both my current landlord as well as a prior one, and only one senior chihuahua the size of a shoe with no teeth) was not up to their standards. My application was rejected- not just from renting the “2BR/1BATH” (with no yard/but really yard), but from renting ANY SUITE, EVER, from Renter’s Choice. Failed to show any compassion towards somebody with different abilities, displayed deceptive and predatory business tactics, asked illegal questions, and, in the end- didn’t even give me the suite!! One star, my opinion, is one star too many but it won’t let me give them zero. They tarnish the name of landlords everywhere, and should be ashamed.
