    Mr. Mike's plumbing does not have honest pricing. They charge a $70 dispatch fee, then when they get to the door hit you with a $313 "diagnostic fee", and if you refuse service for their ridiculous pricing, you're out $70. THEY ALSO CHARGE A $30 FEE FOR THE TECHNICIAN TO USE HIS TOOLS. ??? Altogether, I was charged $434.14 for 30 minutes of work and for the technician to tell me that the AC was too old to be fixed... The technician was scheduled to come between 10:00am and 1:00pm on Tuesday, but didn't even show up until Wednesday. He also left the circuit board cover open to be rained on after he left. Unacceptable. Reliance, Knight plumbing, and JPS provided quotes of $100, and $140 for equivalent or better levels of service. I called in to seek a price reduction based on their poor, day-late service and ridiculous pricing, and had two customer service reps tell me that they're unable to provide a full quote up front because "the tech doesn't know what they have to diagnose until they see it". This is absolutely nonsense as the technician quoted $434.14 before stepping foot in the house. If the tech can provide it at the door (before seeing anything), they can provide it on the phone. I have called multiple times over the past few weeks seeking to resolve this, however each time I'm met with a customer service rep who says they'll "create a task for a manager to follow up". It has been weeks and I haven't received a single call back from them. There are many past reviews that mention their disingenuous pricing. You don't have to look very hard. Stay away. Garbage service, ************ pricing, terrible customer service. Do not use Mr Mike's for anything, there are plenty of honest plumbing/HVAC companies in Calgary that will give you a fair and up-front quote ********** ****** ********* **** etc.) They state that "We will beat any insured competitor’s rate by 10%." however have made no effort at all to honour this promotion. STAY AWAY.

    The technicians that helped us out, on a Friday long weekend, were amazing. Helpful and delightful, they were very polite to my in laws, clean officiant at thir jobs. Left the house clean and no mess.

    ***** was training Bill today. ***** showed great leadership in allowing **** to do his thing and just checking. Allowing **** to ask ***** of his secrets of the trade and ***** sharing his secrets. The two worked very well together. Both were very professional and read the room correctly. In that we wanted information on what they were doing but never once made us feel bad for not knowing.

    I have never written a bad review before but these guys failed to notice a bad gas valve on my hot water tank after it had failed. Mistakenly thinking it was a ventilation issue, they did an unneeded release valve fix on the tank and quoted $1800 more in vent repairs. And when called out on the mistake and realizing the gas valve is the problem they are still unwilling to reimburse or help in any way. Terrible customer service after the fact and unwilling to stand by their mistake. It was an expensive, dangerous, and frustrating ****** not to use this company.
