    They didnt show up and didnt respond to our text message to return our $100 deposit. Had to hire someone else

    If you want an insured moving company, dont use A Good Guy Moving. Although they claim to have insurance, they dont want to use it. These guys were great for the actual move but when we reached out to them about a damaged item, they ended up completely ignoring our phone calls, emails, and text messages. They moved us on August 31,2022 and we have yet to hear back from them about compensation for our damaged item. Its unfortunate because we have used them multiple times and recommended them to friends and family. But lack of communication or accountability speaks volumes to their business ethics.

    Dont let the companys name fool you. This company is a total disaster. I booked a relatively easy move with them (only bigger furniture pieces, no packing/unpacking of boxes). It was quoted for 3 movers, 3 to *** 4hours. Owner tried to delay the move to the next day, on the morning of the scheduled move itself - by text, never called in person (despite being asked to do so, and promises to call). This because of truck broke down (Check out Yelp reviews, not the first time they used this excuse).They showed up in a Uhaul truck, hours late, with only 2 movers instead of 3. 1 of the movers was terrible (verbal abuse, throwing things around, dropped BBQ down the stairs, extremely disrespectful). They forgot their tools, which delayed taking apart/assemble 2 beds to the extreme. After +6hrs on the job, I called it quits - with 1 bed remaining to assemble. 1 employee tried his best, but this move was a total disaster. I was left with damages to both properties, and missing parts of the bed that still needed to be assembled. I did not have to pay the full price as everyone realized things went terribly wrong. I was promised they would replace the missing parts of the bed. But after weeks in which the assistant (?) ****** kept promising me to email me the order receipt, big silence. No answer to texts anymore, not answering the phone. Owner (****) refuses to call - I wonder if he even knows how to make a call - in this process he never once called, despite requests. Instead hides behind the assistant.I held off on writing reviews to give them a chance at showing some good customer service, but after almost 2 months its enough.This company is a total joke, and should not be in business. Stay away from them, and save yourself a lot of trouble/headache.This review can be backed up with pictures and texts.
