      This is by far the worst place to storage your things at.. with that being said tho you don't have many options for a storage companyThey will say you owe extra unit rent when you don't and charge you extra so they can keep your things you cannot talk to a manager because they do not answer the phone they left a lock on my unit for 3 weeks after I had made my partner up to date so I wasn't allowed in my unit for my property because they claim they had nobody to go take the lock off I should have revived a month for free a fast add in concerned on that issue so I do not recommend using this facility

      This business should be prosecuted for illegal price increases while claiming to have sent a month's notice by snail mail but I did not receive the letter and I was on the lookout since this the second time they did this. I signed up for $85 a month and over the course of a year they increased rent without notice to $194.

      Camper was stolen. Employee refused to give supervisors name and number. Did not want to help in any way. Said they didnt even know how to download security video and unsure if it even works.

      Do not trust this storage facility with your belongings. Our boat was stored here for over a year and was stolen from the facility and never found. We filed a police report and went through the process. Extra Space Storage was not able to find the video of the boat being towed away by someone else and off the property, which is very concerning. The police department even stated that this particular storage facility has theft issues and their gates are constantly left open. Its extremely frustrating when you pay a company to secure your personal belongings of value and significance and then it is stolen due to their ************* addition, we purchased a insurance policy through the storage facility for up to $5,000 in the event something like this happened. Extra Space Storage refused to pay this out as they state this ONLY covers items in the boat, not the boat itself. This has been an unfortunate, frustrating and expensive experience. Do NOT trust this facility for keeping your items safe.

      Extra Space increased my monthly unit fee by 94%. Failed to properly inform me and simply charged my card. Upon phoning for clarity. I was informed that a single postcard was sent by U.S. Mail and that they actually were doing me a favor by not increasing it 200% based on what they could actually get for the unit during the current market. They failed to adequately explain that month to month meant that they could adjust my rental fee whenever they wanted. As well as, feel the need to insure we know about the fee change prior to executing it. This is another example of Big Business being out of touch with the consumer and simply profit seeking. We all wonder why our economy is struggling. Parasites aren't higher thinking animals and essentially eat their host to death. US businesses, what do you think will happen when your customers cant afford to use your services? Or just don't want to do business with you any longer because of some corporate policy.

      Please read full review on *********** Word limit on here 1. My unit was burgarlized and all my valuables were stolen such as: Electronics, clothing, used and new makeup, perfumes, shoes, old cell phone 2. Due to hardship yes I was late and my unit was almost auctioned off but I made ALL the payments and late fees necessary to stop it. Their policy states that employees are not allowed to step in and only allowed to open and take photos from the outside. They cut off my lock and replaced it with their own lock that only they had the keys too. After I received the keys from **** and opened my unit I discovered ny unit was ransacked and filled with random stuff that clearly belonged to others. My valuables were stolen. It was a mess as my papers and family photos were scattered on the floor mixed with the rat p*** when I had last been there I left my unit organized and took photos for my personal records. 3. I Will be charged a cleanup and dumping fee because I was warned by both *** (front desk employee and **** (Manager) that if I refuse to pay then the bill would be send to collections 4. No professional security.Cameras do not cover most rows/sections. Just enough cameras to cover front and entrance. The multiple security screens displayed on the TV inside the lobby are just to create a false sense of security to impress customers. 6. When I filed a police report I was not offered help to file an insurance claim though I made it clear since I've been paying insurance since 2019. 7. To learn how to file an insurance claim I had to use a different phone and call a different extra space storage location just to get the information I should have been given in person. Otherwise EVERY time you call your phone number is automatically linked to your account and your call is always redirected to the same storage facility. This made it very difficult when there is an ongoing investigation and want unbiased information/help.

      Very new facility. Clean, well maintained. After 4 months they provided me a notice they were DOUBLING MY RENTAL FEES. Thats right, doubling. From $112 to $224. When I called and asked they said the rate was adjusted and there was nothing they could doVery predatory business practice. Absolutely despicable.

      The East Washington location done me dirty they told me a lie because they wanted to make more money on my unit told me I had until April 1st by 10am to pay my payment in full I was there at ********************************************************************************* they lied to me and I'm fighting hard right now to make them make this right to me it's not ok what they did and I will keep posting and calling until they fix this anybody else this has happened to? I'm sure I'm not the first

      LOCKS CUT/CHANGED WITHOUT CONSENT ON PAID UNIT You read correctly. This storage unit facility likes to sell you their overpriced inferior locks, then proceed to cut off the lock and replace it with a combination lock that anyone with the code can open and enter, without your consent. I signed up for 3 months at a rate that was higher than displayed on their signs. I was told the price will go down for the following months payments. I packed my life away with these guys, only to find that my storage unit has a completely different lock than when I returned to reorganize my things 2 months later. The amount of fear and trauma thinking they sold my life away to the highest bidder and started renting to someone else could not have been higher. I tried knocking on every door and window there to get someone. But no one was there. I had to break into my own storage unit that had over a month left of prepaid time to even know if my things were still there because I again, did not receive any notice they broke my property (overpriced lock) and did a clear breach of privacy. I don't know who went through my things or how long my original lock was even on for before they cut it without my knowledge or consent. I even spoke with an employee over the phone two weeks prior who was eager to take another payment, but no mention of changing my locks on me at all. This would have been a perfect time to mention "hey we locked you out of your things." But they didn't and left me to find out in person. Don't let this happen to you. Their website conveniently only displays the best reviews and one weird review to make it look normal. If you look for reviews elsewhere, you'll have a better idea of how crooked Extra Space Storage is. Choose a storage facility that actually respects your rights to privacy and the advertised price.

      Been renting a unit in ************** Fl since 2019. Have been paying the same rate every month. This past month got email rate for March $79.31..price went down? Seems like they forgot to add insurance cost and tax. Figure since they goofed they'd give me the lower rate... forgot it! Big corporations only care about the bottom line$$$...if they don't get it from you there's always someone else.
