The BBB Wisconsin's report on "GRTC Repo Time" opened on February 22, 2023 after receiving several inquiries from consumers who said they were contemplating buying a vehicle or heavy equipment including cars, trucks, tractors and boats from this website and paying by wire transfer. One complainant states she believed this to be an online auction firm and wire transferred $47,300+ for a vehicle she never received.
BBB does not find any business listing for "GRTC Repo Time" and despite its use of "LLC" in its name, it is NOT listed as a corporation in Wisconsin per the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (WDFI.org).
In doing reverse checks on the address Arbor Gate 2501 W Beltline Hwy, Madison, WI and phone 608-301-5499 we found "No match found." The Beltline Hwy. address appears to be an office or medical building. The website was created two weeks ago from the time our report was created (2/8/23) and its registrar is "NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED" which appears to be based in Hong Kong, China per a Google search.
The website, grtimedeals.com, no longer exists.
BBB advises consumers use extreme caution when dealing with any company whose existence cannot be verified or that is or may be located overseas. Also note that paying by wire transfer is extremely risky; paying by this method is untraceable and a refund after paying by wire transfer is generally not possible.
