On February 9, 2022, Arnold Home Helper has been the subject of a BBB advertising challenge that was brought to their attention by the BBB and references the company's website advertisement.
Specifically, the company advertises "lowest price guaranteed" which does not meet Better Business Bureau Code of Advertising guidelines.
According to the guidelines: "Despite an advertiser's best efforts to ascertain competitive prices, the rapidity with which prices fluctuate and the difficulty of determining prices of all sellers at all times preclude an absolute knowledge of the truth of unqualified underselling/lowest price claims. Advertisers must have proper substantiation for all claims prior to dissemination. Unqualified underselling claims must be avoided. Advertisers can lessen the potential for consumer confusion by appropriate qualifications to any underselling/lowest price claim, such as by stating, if truthful, that the advertiser will meet or beat a lower price. In such circumstances, the advertiser must comply with Section 13."
The BBB requested written clarification from the company on the specifics of their lowest price guarantee and offered modification options for their advertisement to resolve the issue.
As of March 9, 2022 Arnold Home Helper has failed to respond to the BBB regarding this ad challenge.
