Commonwealth of Virginia Board for Waterworks and Wastewater Works Operators and Onsite Sewage System Professionals File Number 2022-01145
The following describes a government action that has been resolved by either a settlement or a decision by a court or administrative agency. If the matter is being appealed, it will be noted below.

On July 14, 2022 Richard Sheldon Gibson entered into a Consent Order with the Commonwealth of Virginia Board for Waterworks and Wastewater Works Operators and Onsite Sewage System Professionals.  

Based on the investigation of this matter, the Board finds reason to believe that Richard Sheldon Gibson violated the following:

1. Obtaining or attempting to obtain a license by false or fraudulent representation, or maintaining or renewing a license by false or fraudulent representation.

Gibson failed to obtain the required 12 hours of CPE to maintain his master conventional onsite sewage system installer license, for the 2019-2021 license renewal cycle, and falsely represented completion of the required 12 hours of CPE when renewing license No. 1944001760 on January 29, 2021.

In addition, for violation of Count 1, Gibson agrees to revocation of his license.

Richard Sheldon Gibson acknowledges an understanding of the charges and admits to the violations.
