    I rented a home owned by ***** Harkins via VRBO for a family vacation. Unfortunately the home was not as advertised. Both critical issues (ie; A/C system not working, plus an ANT infestation in the kitchen) and overall condition/cleanliness left much to be desired.Although we could not get a hold of ***** during the stay (multiple attempts made) I finally spoke with ***** on the experience & provided him pictures/detail on the issues we had with his rental property. He acknowledged that it was ***************** agreed to refund me a portion of our outlay... THEN HE DISAPPEARED. I have tried for multiple weeks now (between text/call/email) -- and he has totally dodged us - failing to send the promised refund. Given the other review here - perhaps this is common place for *****? Perhaps it's how Harkins Development does business? Your call to make - but I would strongly suggest - buyer beware / stay away. The quality of product ****** ********* (failure of promise) that Harkins delivers is very poor in my experience.
