It is now apparent that the business was in the process of moving and luck being such that I was “lost” somewhere in the move. However, that being said, I did receive communication with an apology and explanation from them. What I couldn’t understand was made very clear. I am adding this positive review in response to their sincere apology. I would not hesitate to make a purchase here!

I have purchased large orders of red wigglers from Uncle Jim’s now on three separate occasions over a period of about four years. I’ve never been disappointed in either their service or product. On my last order, I included two worm towers.
Before placing an order, I suggest that buyers read the information provided by Uncle Jim’s on their website as well as general education on worm farming which is readily available from YouTube and similar websites, your local library or your nearest agricultural extension service.
Keep in mind that worms, once acclimated to a new home, will be far less likely to try to evacuate your worm boxes as long as their basic needs are being met. Check your soil for moisture and Ph content as well as temperature.
Make sure your worms have eaten the last food you provided before piling more in. If not, make sure what you are offering is chopped fine enough for them to eat and that what you have given them is suitable for their diet.
Check your soil to see that it has not been overrun by vermin. And keep an eye on pets and wildlife (grandchildren?!?!) to make sure they are not unduly disturbing the worm boxes or even stealing your crop.

I’m a first time worm keeper. I needed to source feed for a few exotic aquatics. I made and prepped my bin and treated it much like there were worms already in it, for about a week. My worms came today and there were just gobs of wiggles! I got 1000 red wigglers and 250 European super reds. I misted and lightly turned the bed, then I placed them on the top of the bedding, and put a clamp light (led, no heat) on low over top of them to encourage them to dive deep. They have already started making themselves at home and have spread through the entire bin. As a first or thousandth experience with a company, everything was top notch!
