On Jan. 22, 2019,  BBB Accreditation was suspended due to a pending unresolved and unanswered supplier complaint filed Jan. 4, 2019, alleging Eric T Close General Contracting had not paid $41,232.73 six months overdue to a supplier for materials for several jobs for which homeowners had allegedly directly paid Eric T Close General Contracting LLC.

Due to the pending unresolved and unanswered supplier complaint and failure by Eric T Close General Contracting LLC to respond to BBB requests for information about the matter and failure to share their company’s side of the story, Eric T Close General Contracting LLC is not currently meeting the following BBB Accreditation Standards:


     5. Honor Promises

          Abide by all written agreements and verbal representations.

                B. Honor representations by correcting mistakes as quickly as possible.

     8. Embody Integrity

          Approach all business dealings, marketplace transactions and commitments with integrity.

               Avoid involvement, by the business or its principals, in activities that reflect unfavorably on, or otherwise adversely affect the public image of BBB or its accredited businesses.


The company has until Feb. 1, 2019, to appeal this action.

The matter will be reviewed further by the BBB and by the BBB’s Board of Directors. The Board’s next 2 meetings are currently scheduled on Jan. 24, 2019 and Feb. 26, 2019.
