Alert
On April 9, 2021, Better
Business Bureau was alerted to a Puppy business operating as Posh Pocket Pups
and Tiny Teacup Puppies. The business claims to be located in Kalispell,
Montana, 59901, however, the business website, https://www.tiny-teacup.com/ , is registered in Ontario, Canada.
A consumer reported
contacting Posh Pocket Pups to purchase a puppy from the selection of puppies
advertised on the business website, but became suspicious when they were not
billed for four days. The consumer’s suspicions grew when the business owner
told them they moved their breeding operation from Montana to Rosedale Animal
Hospital in Canada due to Covid-19. When the consumer inquired about the
business advertising an address in Montana, the business owner claimed
their sister, who lives in Montana was helping them. The consumer further
shared they were billed in Canadian Currency by Rosedale Animal Hospital in
Toronto, Canada.
BBB wants to remind consumers
to always be hyper-vigilant when attempting to purchase a puppy online and be
on alert for deceptive practices.
The Montana Secretary of
State reports Posh Pocket Pups and Tiny Teacup Puppies are not licensed
businesses in Montana.
