Stay away from this company. I’ve wasted so much money on their Platinum coverage only to get told everything wrong with my 2016 Yukon Denali was not covered. I bought the Platinum coverage after they convinced me it would likely cover my vehicle. It was a lie.
CarShield sold or gave my contract to ******** **** ******. That wasn’t discussed at all.
CarShield said my car main issue was covered.
******** **** said it wasn’t. When trying to figure this out, I was sent back and forth several times explaining the situation from one person to the next.
In the end, nothing was covered and thousands of wasted dollars later, I left this company. After years of being a loyal customer, the very first time I needed them was turned down without a second thought.
If I could give them no stars, I would. The only thing they did well was take my money.
Stay away from these scammers!!!

My dad was drawn into a policy with car shield. He had his policy for about 13 months and then was told they didnt cover the item that he needed fixed. Its a ridiculous waste of money. Every mechanic we know said it was the worst because they take 3 months to pay your claim when you do have an issue thats covered. My dad should get his money back.CarShield

Terrible, a car sensor on my car went bad, took it to the dealer, and the dealer said the car shield would not cover. Fortunately, I just joined car shield two months ago, and I was able to cancel.CarShield

I had the platinum plan and they constantly argued that whatever needed to be fixed wasnt covered. When I would highlight it was covered, they would come up with a vague excuse and not cover it. When they actually will cover something, it is for the minimal amount. They will band-aid the issue with the vehicle instead of fixing it right in the first place. They would not communicate with the mechanic, so I would have to call; I got minimal communication as well. My mechanic and I joked about the ****** we would talk to. This company is dishonest and are quick to take your money, but not fix the problem. Stay far away from them.CarShield

I no longer have a contract with you guys. We ArE uNaBlE tO lOcAtE yOuR cOnTrAcT did not fix the myriad of issues I had with your company. You used a shady aftermarket part for my turbo, the mechanic even said it was cheap. Potential customers: it is not worth your money, stay away.Review fromFranklin J

They will not pay for all the repairs, so be ready to pay your deductible and more. If the mechanic charged for a gallon of antifreeze they will only pay not even half of it. My wifes car needed Freon and the mechanic was charging $11.20 per oz CarShield is only paying $7.00 of it. So I had to come up with $390 + the $100.00 dollar deductible. Do not get CarShield nothing but a scam. Spread spread the word out to friends and family. I give 0 stars.CarShield

I live in ****** and I've had car shield for about 3 years now. I finally needed them and took my truck to the dealership where I purchased it at. They told me they don't honor car shield and so I took it to another dealership and they told me the same thing. So i took it to a small mechanics shop only to be toke the same thing, what good is a warranty if it's no good where ever you take it. So basically I was paying $80 a month for 3 years for false security.Review fromKelly M

Car Shield is a JOKE. They want to claim EVERYTHING is a pre-existing condition without even knowing the what is really going on. If you are paying them to fix your car when something is wrong you would be better off going to a shade tree mechanic. They don't want to pay for anything but they want your money every month. Car Shield took a whole month to even tell my daughter anything about whether they were going to pay, if they were going to pay anything at all. Then when they FINALLY did get back to her on the matter, they had the nerve to tell her this was a 'pre-existing condition' and they were not going to pay for that. My daughter had to use Ubers, Lyft, or rentals just to get back and forth to work and so now that she doesn't have a car or money left to get one she has lost her job....Thank you car shield for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I would not use car shield for my own car now that I see how they like your money but don't want to pay for your car problems even when you see commercials saying they will. My advice to anyone with this car shield RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN because your car is in more if not worse problems in the hands of car shield.CarShield
