In August 2022, BBB completed an investigation into this business.  The investigation determined:

BBB files contain a pattern of complaints from consumers that allege issues with billing. Specifically, consumers allege additional and/or unauthorized charges after the site’s initial charge.  BBB files contain multiple unanswered complaints.

On August 11, 2022, BBB sent correspondence to Click Search LLC requesting their voluntary cooperation in providing steps it will implement to eliminate the pattern of customer complaints. 

On September 12, 2022, Click Search LLC responded with, " We have implemented many pop-ups that a customer receives before they are actually purchasing a detailed downloadable report.  Customers think that they are able to search all information and receive detailed reports during the $.95 trial period which they are presented with when they perform their search.  The $.95 3 day trial period provides details on the kind of information we offer and the supported networks we search.  If our network discovers more detailed information for the customer search, we advise them it is available but at a cost of $59.85 for a detailed phone number report and $89.85 for a detailed person report with a full background check and other detailed information.  We also immediately send the customer a receipt that details the search and that it is a monthly subscription and if they wish to cancel, they can with a provided link.  We also send a reminder email to the customer 24 hours before the subscription will bill and present them with another opportunity to cancel with a provided link, they can call or they can email us and the subscription will be immediately cancelled with no further billing.  We will implement manual reviews of transactions to eliminate the patterns of complaints."

BBB will continue to monitor and update the company's report as needed.
