In May 2023, BBB contacted Santella Electric regarding claims in its advertising.

The business states on its website that it offers a "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" and "We firmly stand behind all of our warranties and guarantees."  Its listing at angi.com states "Your satisfaction is guaranteed..." 

According to the BBB Code of Advertising, when using the terms guarantee and warranty, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details can be seen prior to sale. These details must disclose any material limitations on the guarantee or warranty.  Advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee,” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. BBB suggested to the the business that if its policy does not include a full refund, that it consider modifying this statement, and add the terms of its warranties and guarantees to its advertising.  The business did not make changes to its advertising.
