In May 2023, BBB investigated International Timeshare Legal Consultants’ business practices. This investigation was prompted by the nature of consumer complaints received by BBB. It is alleged that the business fails to render services consumers paid for; and fails to provide an update on the case. Additionally, consumers indicate that the business fails to respond to phone and email inquiries.
On May 10, 2023, BBB sent the company a Business Practice Inquiry through email to request the following information:
- Sample copies of all written agreements with consumers used at any time in the past 30 days;
- All consumer disclosures that explain your fee schedule including when a consumer makes the first payment;
- Procedures for ensuring consumers are informed of the timeshare cancellation timeline;
- A detailed description of all training given to telephone operators and other employees/independent contractors;
Additionally, BBB would like to ask International Timeshare Legal Consultants to provide documentation of all professional consultants and attorneys associated with the business or clarification of the following advertised claims listed on the business' website: http://www.timesharelegalconsultants.com/our-team.html.
As of August 8, 2023, the business has not responded to BBB's request.

Advertising Review
On April 25, 2023, BBB requested International Timeshare Legal Consultants to modify, substantiate, or discontinue claims made on their website (http://www.timesharelegalconsultants.com/index.html) that read: "BBB A+ Rated Timeshare Dissolution", "100% Money Back Guarantee", "Take the First Step With us to Cancel Your Timeshare Contract Guaranteed.", "Our Professional Consultants Guarantee to Cancel Your Timeshare Contract.", and "..We are 100% successful in relieving you both financially and legally to the timeshare resort". Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising.
BBB's Code of Advertising Section 1 states, The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. BBB's Code of Advertising Section 20 states, When using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location, viewed on the advertiser’s website or, in the case of mail or telephone order sales, made available free on written request. 20.2 Advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee,” “money back guarantee,” “free trial offer,” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request. Additionally, BBB's Code of Advertising Section 34 states, Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.
