Important Information
Advertising Review
On October 10, 2024, and October 29, 2024, BBB contacted Cupid Fragrances concerning advertising claims found on its website, https://cupidfragrances.com/. Specifically, BBB asked Cupid Fragrances to substantiate or modify the following claims:
- “Voted #1 Most seductive cologne of 2024”
- “This blend is the result of over two decades of meticulous pheromone research.”
- “As seen on USA Today, Market Watch, Fox, Digital Journal"
Cupid Fragrances advertises a 30-day money back guarantee but within their terms and conditions it states, “Sale items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.” When the term “guarantee” is used in advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include the complete details of the guarantee prior to the sale. BBB requested that the business include this detail more clearly on their website.
Advertisements should be truthful, sincere offers to sell. Advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request. All advertising that may mislead or deceive consumers should be avoided.
