The Better Business Bureau (BBB) received inquiries that claimed that this business was crowdfunding for a potential product on different platforms including:
IndieGogo:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/fitneck-fix-your-neck-posture#/ (launched October, 2017) and
Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1286362251/fitneck-pro-fix-your-neck-pain-and-posture?ref=backerkit (launched January 2018.)
Despite receiving promises from the company to provide a product, the consumers claimed that nothing was received.
Upon contacting the City of Vancouver on January 30, 2020, the City of Vancouver stated that no business licence had been issued to a business by the name of Neck Retrax or Fitneck.
On January 31, 2020, BBB contacted Neck Retrax with a request for information regarding the above and to collect further information about the business.
On February 21, 2020, the director of the business, James Mcnulty replied that he has a business registration for Neck Retrax which is under McPan Bodyworks Inc, which was not sold on any crowdfunding platform. He also indicated that FitNeck was a separate line of business under the corporation called Fitbody Solutions Inc.
As of April 15, 2020, the BBB has not received a response that addresses the issue that consumers have not received a product as promised and information that indicates the physical location of the office. The website for the company, https://neck-retrax.com/, no longer appears to be working as the domain has expired.
