On January 11, 2024, BBB investigated Art By Tay's business practices. This investigation was prompted by customer reviews and on scram tracker reports. Some consumers allege upon follow up on decorating cooking classes they did not receive, they were not given the refund within the estimated time. A consumer wrote, "on the day of course I still awaited a response, so I texted again simply asking for a refund as I was no longer confident in this woman. Surprisingly she texted back within 5 minutes saying that a refund will take 10-14 days and she would check the status on the following Monday (2 days after the class). Fast forward to 14 days after the class date and I text her again, asking about the status of my refund as I hadn’t heard from her in 2 weeks"
Some consumers allege they did not receive the products ordered. The business did reply to the consumer for the refund, "she then sent me a refund on Square pay, and blocked me on Facebook so I could no longer communicate with her. Days after she sent the refund, she reversed the refund so I was charged $60.38 for the cake I never received."
While other consumers allege receiving the products not advertised.
The consumers allege Art By Tay does not respond to phone calls or emails requesting for assistance on delivery issues and refund issues.
On January 26, 2024, BBB also attempted to contact Arty By Tay by calling 778-798-8748 listed on their website. BBB was able to leave a message but as today we not heard back from the business.
